How it all started
Hi! My name is Gina Provó Kluit-Gonesh, and I am the founder of BREAG – Your breast, your bra, your bag. BREAG embodies the spirit of empowerment and solidarity.
My journey with BREAG began in August 2023, when I moved to Pakistan to join my husband on his posting. Having lived in various parts of the world as a trailing spouse, I have witnessed the struggles of different communities firsthand. Hence, I felt compelled, to offer my assistance. It is not enough for me to simply enjoy the beauty of a country; I believe in giving back and sharing the blessings life has bestowed upon me.
However, my journey is more than just a tale of altruism; it is a story of survival. In 2021, I faced the biggest challenge of my life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This experience deepened my empathy for those confronting health challenges, especially those from low-income families who are forced to make heartbreaking choices due to financial constraints.
From this experience, BREAG was born—a symbol of hope in the fight against breast cancer. At BREAG, we recycle second-hand bras into stylish accessories, empowering underprivileged women and offering them fair wages. But BREAG is more than just a business; it’s a movement, a reminder to prioritize our health and well-being.
Through BREAG, we are not only addressing the financial barriers to cancer treatment but also raising awareness about breast health. Each bag we create serves as a conversation starter, urging women to take charge of their health and seek medical attention when needed.
And as I continues on this journey, I am confident that BREAG’s legacy will endure.
No one can achieve great things alone. Hence, BREAG is growing through the effort and hard work of a dedicated group of volunteers from diverse backgrounds—bag design, graphic design, photography, film, marketing, finance, and compassionate community members. All share a mission that transcends personal gain and touches the lives of countless women facing one of the toughest battles: breast cancer.
